Ericson 29 70/71 Model

I have a 70/71 Ericson 29 with a Lister Petter Diesel engine. This engine replaced the atomic 4, but it is larger so the extra berth under the cockpit can not be used. I am looking for diesel engine on the market that has a similar size as the atomic 4 , that is strong enought to power the boat and give me the space back for the berth. If you have any information on this please advise.

A 4 Replacement

I installed a Universal M18, about 15 years ago, another E29 owner installed the Universal M30.
You do have to carve outsome bulkheading under the sink, & the lid is raised by 4".
