Hi Team,

i was walking around the dead and dying part of my Marina and came across an Ericson that had been brought in 4-6 weeks earlier.

Does the EricsonYachts.Org have any record of ERY30643M84D?

Just from the HIN number its an Ericson Yachts 30+, hull #643, manufactured November, 1984.

How did you come up with November?

The "D" at the end of the HIN is part of a code system used by some manufactures to indicate the month. A= August, B=Sept,...., D=Nov,... L=July. This issue came up for me a few years back when the WA DMV discovered a discrepancy in my Ericson 25+ HIN number and wanted me to apply for a completely new number. As it turned out my vessel was manufacture in April (= I), and at some point in time that letter was changed to the number 1 in the state's records, which didn't match any known valid HIN formats. It was a pain, but I finally got it straightened out.

Thanks guys, I was more interested in who the owner of the vessel is. The boat is new to the marina and I wanted to introduce myself and recruit for the Chesapeake Bay Ericson Club.

If anyone knows the owner, please let me know.
