Local chandlery gave me a Baldwin BF940 fuel filter when I asked for a WIX 33390.
Didn't know if that was a good match, so I googled "Baldwin BF940" and found this... a site that has searchable cross-reference tables for all sorts of (oil and fuel) filters

My current oil filter, for example, is a Fram 3593A and if I type "3593" into the search bar at the top of the page, I get a whole list of compatible filters from other manufacturers.
Thought it might be useful, so parking it here.
