GFCI outlet replacement

Hi I am new to the site and new owner of a 1989 E 38, Sweet Surrender moored in Des Moines WA. I am in the process of going through all the systems and need to replace the GFCI. My boat has only a single GFCI located near the main panel and all the other 120 volt outlets are controlled thru it.Would there be a disadvantage/advantage to replace the other standard outlets with GFCI type.
Thanks,
Jeff Hart

No advantage at all.

The one takes care of all of them as long as they are all wired THROUGH it.

Check to make sure that everything goes off when you do the monthly test. A light bulb is the easiest to use to check this.

Place the little Protected by GFCI stickers that come with the GFCI outlet on all of the protected ones and you are done.

No advantage I can think of except that they provide some redundancy if the main one malfuntions. You may be able to replace your breaker with a GFCI type and have a standard outlet.
