That's great to hear!I have had a couple similarly surprising experiences with Blue Sea Systems, Chelsea Clocks, and even Raymarine! Jaw dropping, stunning experiences.

I have a Weems & Plath gimballed lamp on my boat that I use all the time. I want to get a larger hanging lamp as well and have looked at the Den Haans; very nice. I picked up a small anchor lamp and a binnacle lamp at one of the boaters' swap meets. The anchor lamp is not Den Haan but still nice. The binnacle lamp doesn't put out much light but it has a cool shape and a curved glass door. I did some research online and the binnacle lamp may be somewhat old and from England based on the markings on the burner. I don't think it would be considered antique.

Here is a link to a site that has just about everything you could want in an oil lamp or oil lamp parts. The site is not very professionally designed so is sometimes tedious to navigate, but I have purchased replacement chimneys and burners from them.

Here's another link for parts and stuff. He's a nice guy, but the quality of the chimneys I have purchased from him were not as good as from the above site.

I've been wanting to pick up a Den Haan Anchor Lamp, and maybe the smaller trawler lamp. Nice stuff!

The original post is inspiring me to start a thread on awesome experiences with companies. Many of us do a lot of bitching, but I don't see a lot of praise for companies who strive to keep their customers happy.
