Hatch Hinge Reversal

I plan to install a rigid vang on my E27, but expect interference when opening the middle hatch with hinges aft. Anyone with tips, tricks or traps for reversing the hinge to have it open the other way? I have the original style hatches and have started to make the wood block that will hold the latch hardware. The new location for the hinges will need a slight raised area on the deck to get them true to the hatch. How best to do this? Will the deck need something added to properly hold the hinge screws?
Thanks for any input.

When I put the rigid vang on my 29 I thought I would have to do the same thing. When dry fit the vang I found that I could mount the vang at an angle that was within spec. The hatch only misses the vang by and inch but it does miss.

You may save yourself some work by checking it first.

Thanks - good thought. Our deck layout might be a bit different, but I will mount the vang first to find out if I really do have an interference.
