Introducing a New Guy - Bret Henry

Hi, I just joined the site. Recently sold my second boat (a Catalina 36), but had owned a E29 several years ago. In the process of buying the Cat I had looked at an E38 and fell in love with the design (but the boat was not right). I still think about the boat and it's layout (the one with the large quarter berth/nav station to port). And my E29 was fast and assumed the E38 shared similiar features.

Have not found myself with the luxury to go on extended cruises, but have raced across the Gulf a couple of time in the Regata Del Sol Al Sol and am looking forward to cruising. So, the last boat is barely gone and I'm reading this site... whatever you can take away from that.

Love reading and dreaming for now. :egrin:

Welcome (back?) Brett.

You know you want to buy an Ericson... The longer you wait, the less sailing you do. And that's a bad thing.

I hope you shopping goes well.

Listen to Mark and go find an E

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore.
Dream.
Discover.

Welcome back from the dark side - LOL. I just sold a baby Catalina (22) and bought an E26-IV. Well, I bought an E and then tried for a long time to sell the C...maintaining two boats is a bummer! Great time to buy, bad time to sell:rolleyes:. Dream too long and your brain will find a way to make it happen!
