This is the goose-neck fitting I have. My assumption is that the shackle below the reef hooks is for the tac of the sail?? The boat was not rigged or have sails when I bought it so it’s all new to me.
That would have to be IMHO. Can't say I have seen that type before though... What boat do you have ? If you put your info in your signature line you will get more specific responses from owners of like boats.
