These guys seem to be the only place with the factory sized appropriate packing gland and they are great to work with and very helpful! Buck Algonquin doesn't seem to have 1 5/8" hose glands, so call these folks. Yhey may have supplied factory originals. Lots of other good hardware, too.

Don’t write off Buck Algonquin yet. A few years ago, their on-line catalog was only a PDF copy of a printed catalog and was not searchable. And some things are weirdly organized. They did in fact have the hose I needed, but it was listed only under “bulk quantities”. Things are slowly getting better. I’ve seen this phenomenon with a lot of other suppliers too.

When I needed my new packing gland, it was Buck Algonquin who I called. They were fantastic. Super nice! But they said they don’t make our size. They were the ones who referred me to Marine Hardware in the first place. They had great customer service but they didn’t have the product I needed.
