O-ring goes on the cap.

Have you by chance got a size for that o-ring or just approximated? I got the "official" deck plate o-rings from Perko and they're to big for any of my fill plates. I wonder if they either changed the design or if Ericson didn't use Perko...

Mine is 1.5" I.D. x 3/32" thick. I get them from the O-Ring Store, Part # B70128. No guarantees it will fit your deck fill, but it probably will.

I don't think mine are Perko. That don't seem to be "standard" issue and I had a helluva time finding a male fitting to fit the head pumpout. For the O-ring I went to an Ace hardware with caps in hand and found one that fit. I thought it was 1 9/16 ID but Alan could be right @ 1 1/2.

In my opinion you can't make a mistake any way you do it, 2, 10, 30, backwards or forwards (not upsidedown ).

Just change the primary filter when it gets dirty. This is not angels dancing on pins.

It does make sense that the secondary filter strains finer than the primary.
