The Ran project--in which two people build a 50-foot yacht themselves.

I realize there are many such series, and taste is what it is. But Johan is a good narrator, and as usual the skill level, and the astonishing commitment to back-breaking labor and patience, boggles the imagination of anybody who has muttered about the work involved in replacing a bilge pump hose or the joker valve of a toilet.

It was a delight to see him so deliberate about positioning the floors with levels, lasers, etc. However, I always cringe when I see people using power tools but no safety glasses or respirators. - There's a nice clean production value to the video. Very Scandinavian.

I have been enjoying that effort as well. I was especially impressed with how they flipped the completed hull over.

I have also been watching The Duracell Project. Matt is an absolute master of fiberglassing. There is not an ounce of wood in sight so it is about as far from Tally Ho as could be imagined but still a great project.

I subscribe to multiple building/refit channels. Duracell and Ran are the ones I don't miss an episode of. :)
