...."I'll consult the runes...”

One of the guys at the rendezvous showed me an app that shows the current data, with a time-slider so you can see the currents change throughout a span of time.

Pretty cool, but not as detailed and only available for Windows phone or browse

I looked it up. Yes it is cool. But as you say, not enough detail to be really useful in this neck of the woods.

Is this something that happens yearly? I'd love to bring Shearwater out for all the other E owners to ogle, her model is a damned rare sight.

Yes. Traditionally it flips back and forth across the border - Somewhere in BC waters in even-numbered years, somewhere in Puget Sound waters in odd numbered years.

We're kicking around ideas for (maybe) a more central location for 2019 in this thread: http://www.ericsonyachts.org/infoexchange/showthread.php?15933-2019-NW-Rendezvous-ideas

...feel free to chime in!

That'd be awesome! Not only to have another EYO'r attend, but... I love those boats. I race a little bit with hull #1 (Pizzazz), and then for several years with hull #7 (Seduction), way back when. They were lot of fun to sail, and very competitive even against the top custom-built IOR 3/4-tonners of the day.
