Possible? Make a 36RH Shoal Draft?

Very interesting discussion by all about keel shapes and draft. I for one have always preferred deep fin for performance upwind over all others. A friend owned an Endeaver and was very pleased with results recieved after adding a bulb to his keel.
Having owned a Jeanneau w/deep fin and sailing the bays and waterways of the northern gulf coast I became very familiar with charts and shallow waters. I was always the one in the group that had to anchor the furthest from shore.
Anyway I am now looking at a 35 MK III w/wing keel (unfortunately for me) and have reservations about this keel and performance. Does anyone have any experience with this keel, heel angles, pointing ability and such?
Any insight would be greatly appriciated and I hope I'm not stealing the thread.

I have a wing keel on my 36RH

I'll try and dig up some pictures and post them. The boat seems very stable to me but I've not been on a 36RH with the fin keel to compare so I couldn't tell you how it is affecting performance. It draws about 5 feet.
