prop shaft exit on E38-200

Noticed what appears to be a plug around hole as prop shaft exits the hull. It is an area about 3" wide and 6" long. Is this a standard plug area at exit tube or is this maybe some type of patch? the crack around this is very straight so not a random cracking --- any thoughts?
thanks

Picture of exterior of shaft exit (on bottom of hull). We hope we attached the pic correctly. Trenton

Shaft logs have to be installed, one way or another, and those lines suggest the outline of the installation.

How's it look inside? Needs a look by a boatyard if you have doubts, or it wobbles or seems insecure. But maybe no problem....

Here are some typical shaft logs:

thanks Christian - that was it, and it was the joint at the installation that was showing. Will grind out and re fiberglass so all is well
thanks again
