Lia is quite a character. I saw an interview with her after she did a stint on some huge trimaran ... lots of personality. Guess she's quite a professional solo sailing racer.

They made it !

The daily reading has been amazing ... what a challenge both mentally and physically ... a real nail biter !

My wife and I were just in Antigua and went over to English Harbor for dinner one night and saw a lot of the boats after they had finished. Some of them were not much larger than a couple of barrels.

Did you take any pictures of the boats ?

The determination and dedication of these teams are incredible.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lia and Mike never ever meet or talk again and while I can understand it it also seems really sad.

Mike's wife must also be incredibly strong and self confident/assured. She didn't tear Lia apart after the 70 (?) day crossing where Lia (the sometimes model) spent much/most of her time rowing (or resting "sunny side up") in her birthday suit.

Most humans are wimps but it is incredible what humans can do when they are motivated.
