Sandblast SS ?

What would a sandblasted SS surface look like ? I imagine a satin look, not shiny but matte and possibly appealing ?

I don't have a sandblaster but I do have a very nice used sink that is about to find its way aboard La Petite. The other alternatives is steel wool pad unidirectional buffing to get a brushed look, or possibly the SS buffing discussed here.

In all honesty, it is probably perfectly good as it is but I want to give it that "new" look/feel

Hi Sven,

I'd try a spot with some (stainless) steel wool, or just good old steel wool and see if you don't get that nice brush look restored. Use an oval motion and move vertical and horizontal to expand the area. Try a spot on the back first....
