If the weather is not too wet, I hope to visit. I need to clean out my hoard of "spare" boat bits. Driving three hours up to Seattle in the dark is the "price" of admission.
Heh. I've been cleaning out my garage and am somewhat dismayed by the pile of "spare" boat bits.
I'm thinking of doing my own "guerrilla" pop-up swap meet out of the back of my car sometime this month in the parking lot of my marina. Will be sending an email to my sailing club to let them know when and where. hopefully by the time the marina police show up tell me I'm not allowed to do that, much of the assorted treasures will have found new homes.

If three of us attend... do we have quorum? Keep stuff in trunk @bgary and drve south on Oct 4... you're more likely ti have an increased numer of passers-by at 0600 with cash to blow than at most marinas.
On Oct 1... reach out anyone with confirmation. Lets share a mug-up...swap tales...they're cheap.

Unless there's a last minute change, a space for your tail-gate and/or table has no fee. The difficulty is getting there early enough to stake out your place. In the past that mean't 3 or 4 am. And as their announcementment points out, some vendors do arrive the night before.....
If several of us can arrive early enough to set up beside each other, this has some real advantages -- you can watch each other's table while someone goes to a bathroom, for instance.
(A friend of mine used to attend by motorhome, and park for the night on the street above the upper entrance; they got a few hours of sleep before "opening for business" at 4-ish.) Weird and funny to see people wandering around with headlamps seeking "bargains".....

FREE to park, free to partake.... like @Loren Beach shared.
No need to park overnight, unless one does this for a business: buying and selling stuff. The stuff we all wish might just disappear but wont, cause we remember, unfortunately, that we own it. Those of us fortunate enough to live nearby are grateful for the event, every 6 months. Those living afar, may wish to encourage the local marine dealer to replicate the idea.
Arrive by 0530 or even 0630 you'll be fine... general public doesn't show till 0800.

Are you all still planning to go to the swap meet Saturday morning at Fisheries? I could come over early to join for a few hours. We have 49 feet of 3/8" chain with 250 ft of rode and seven used Lewmar Standard 1 portlights that came out of our boat that we'd like to see head off to a good home. Not much to sell, but maybe there'd be better luck finding it all a new home at the swap meet than online.
After my previous "cheerleading" I am now looking at the Saturday AM weather for Seattle, and am not going to leave home at 2 am, and drive in rain showers and darkness. I'd love to be there, but sometimes... I have to face facts. It's over 3 unpleasant hours on I-5.
You guys have fun, and post up some pix of your tables, and the general look of the swap meet.

ps: I have contacted the local WM store, and unlike ten years ago they now have zero plans to host any more parking lot swap meets. Bummer, it is.
