Sticky sliding main hatch

Over the last several months I’ve noticed that the acrylic main hatch has become hard to slide forward. Any suggestions on how to lubricate or clean the system short of removing the sea hood?

Thanks!

I have grooves worn into mine. I rubbed a little paste wax on the rails and it seemed to help.

As I recall, my 32-3 hatch (photo) would pull right out for inspection. Or maybe a simple stop to be removed.

Has any wood swollen, that could be trimmed? Can the rails it rides on be waxed?

The 381 sliding hatch rides on 1/8" thick narrow acrylic rails, which are naturally slippery. It also pulls out if the stops are removed.

I will check. I think it rides on metal rails and / or a fib channel on either side.
