I have to replace an old refrig in my E34 for the box at the sink. The old compressor was in the aft of the boat, bad. I finally discovered a passage for the tubing.
From the port cabin lockers one would not think there was a way to run pipe because of the intervening water tank. If you look in the locker to the aft port corner you will see a hole cutout which then leads to another hole just aft of it. There is an passage from there to the bulkhead of the ice box. One can see this bulkhead area by taking out the seatback cushion (the L shaped cushion). There is a vertical hole provided in this corner.
Looking down into this hole and at the bulkhead of the ice box, you can see - beside the white hose that goes through the bulkhead - an opening about 1" + wide just where the bulkhead meets the hull. I plan to run pipe from the locker through this area.
Anyone else ever notice this?
