Upgrade to NMEA 2000 to add Raymarine P79s

Just installed a new Transducer that could talk to my 'new to me' Chartplotter. I just installed a Raymarine eS 75 (discontinued) but was unopened and perfect fit. Great deal on it. They don't have a built in Sonar so needed to upgrade my electronic Backbone to nmea 2000 which allowed my Raymarine Autopilot to talk to the chartplotter as well. All fun, easy work which improved my helm tremendously. Raymarine SeaTalk NG is crazy money so bought the Simrad inhull P79s and used adapters to feed back to my backbone. Super happy. Anybody contemplating it's worth it.
I have dated Horizon displays for Speed, Depth and Wind which work and now serve as back up. Showed below are new in hull P79s, depth on Screen, and my small starter backbone with a T to add depth from forward of keel (old Horizon Transducer is aft of keel just ahead of rudder. I feel better knowing my transducer is ahead of my precious keel. Raymarine rep said there is a 2 second delay however which I doubt all day long.
I hope this helps if you are upgrading or adding.
I will be adding a new anemometer system shortly which is a plug and play with Seatalk. ST NG is a unadulterated rip off. So adapters needed for sure.
