32-2 water tank broke lose in a battering storm ⛈️ at the dock. Can’t see how to remove it without cutting up the vee birth deck. Anyone have experience with this?

cannot post video or photo here. But tank shakes around and emptied into the bilge. All 25 gallons

Hmmm...I can't remember anything going on back then. What kind of storm was this? I don't recall any large Santa Anas. Was it out of the south?

Southern winds with gusts of 45 knots … but that’s not my conversation. I’m looking for help with the water tank fix. Who has changed one?
thank you

cutting up the vee birth deck

My fuel tank is under the plywood of the Qberth. The plywood is tabbed closed with glass. I had to remove the plywood top with a skill saw.

Easy enough, except I then had to make and install and finish a new lid.

So you may have to saw away. I'd have to saw out my water tank, too, which is under the saloon berth, because although the plywood top is screwed down, it is apparently also glued down. Even with screws out, will not budge. Design spec for integrity? That's my guess.

Thinking out loud here… may cut the SS tank out in parts to clear the space and get to the water line connection. Then replace with a water bladder tank for drinking water.

Any comments on that idea?

I don’t really like the idea of cutting out what looks like structural plywood as a part of the hull…

Thank you for your comments.
