My guess, without seeing pictures, is that these are osmotic blisters, quite common on boats. There are lots of different opinions about them, and whether they are serious or not, and how best to fix them. I'm sure if you do a search on this site, and other sites, you'll find more than you ever wanted to know about them. Fortunately, Ericsons are well-built boats, so they are worth putting the effort in to maintain them and do the necessary fixes.
Good luck!
Frank.

Blister Repair

Get the West Systems Fiberglass Repair Manual. A no-nonsense approach
to blister repair :D
Pop em' - Grind em' - Dry em' - Fill em' - Barrier Cote em' - Bottom Paint em'

Most time consuming part is getting them to DRY OUT before you fill them.
Be sure to mark the locations and size as soon as you are out of the water.
As your boat dries off many of the blisters will DISSAPPEAR
Our yard here in Oceanside DOES NOT allow you to fix your own blisters.
Careful survey of the work needed, exact explanation of repair procedure
and products to be used is essential. Yards are famous for cutting time and
materials on blister repairs. Inspect the work as the stages are completed.
Become a well informed consumer and demand quality work for the Big Bucks.

Good Luck :egrin: :egrin:
