A couple from my yacht club left recently for an extended cruise.
They have a blog and I find it informative. You SoCal sailors will certainly recognize some of their stops.

The boat is a Jason 35. A few years ago I did a delivery down the WA coast in a sistership. Solid boat with good handling characteristics.
