With what did you replace your mast baseplate? And have you got the dimensions?

I took mine out to have it galvanised and was stolen from a boatyard.

An E35 owner who does not appear to be on this site any more recommended Monel but I have never been able to find it.

G10 (machine pressed layers of fiberglass used primarily in gun and knife handles) is the perfect replacement for anything you need with the strengh of steel, and it will never rust. We used a 1" thick piece which was a bit overkill, 1/2 would have worked fine lol. I went through a few jigsaw blades to cut out the shape we needed. Most plastics shops will have it as well as Mc Master Carr the superstore of hard to find things.

Love the forged viking helmet over the compass!

But a simple soft rubber Halloween helmet bought inexpensively on Amazon that fit perfectly!

There are a few more Ericson’s at our club and it’s fun to show our ownership pride!
…I went so far as to find, record and play loudly - a Viking battle cry sound of long horn trumpets and huge pounding drums sound as we head out our harbor channel on race evenings.

(Shame on me for my Norske heritage!)
