Finally got a chance to get out. I’m on a can at White Island after a couple hours of nice sailing.

I like over-nighting at Island White when headed north. Some folks are put off by the sound of the oil rig operation but I never lost any sleep there.

The four islands inside Long Beach Harbor are oil drilling/pumping islands built in 1965. They were later named Island White, Island Grissom, Island Chaffee and Island Freeman after the first four NASA astronauts to die in the line of duty.
