Williams Fire update

Happy Birthday and glad you and family are doing well after the tragedy of the fire. July baby here too, on the 17th, and counting down the days to 100 also. :) As a amateur “canvas maker” I also enjoy my Sailrite LSZ and am learning something with each project. I have used the zig-zag feature, now and then, to reinforce things but not too often. My last project was also line bags which I actually make twice. First time around I made a single "prototype", where I learned a lot, and the second was a better version using less materials and a better design. Like I stated, I learn something new with every project. Same issue in Annapolis with professional canvas makers, either they don't show up or quote a price so high that it helped to push me into doing the canvas work myself and I haven't regretted it at all.

Thanks for the update, Christian. Saw this boat yesterday and thought of you. He even had some great jazz wafting back to us. Happy birthday from two more July babies. All the best to you and Tracey.

Happy Birthday, my 86-year-old mother got a kick out of the hundred year old man's rehearsed line.

I'll add to the happy birthday, and I'm glad life is OK in the wake of the fire. Also good wishes for the writing process on your new book; definitely your 'Alone Together' one, and the related videos, have been immensely helpful t me as I slowly outfit for a similar adventure -- thanks!

Man, that is a LOT. Your attitude is fantastic, and one I'd hope I could emulate in a similar situation.

Also, belated birthday wishes to you, good sir!

I had a funny and unrelated thought watching this latest CW video production. I remembered this Playboy magazine cartoon that I always liked from the sixties. No, not a sexy or lascivious one. This pirate ship sinks a British Man-O-War and the pirates are forcing all the British Naval officers to walk the plank. The Captain is on the plank doing a double somersault, and a midshipman is speaking to one of the scruffy pirates. The tag line is "he's an inspiration to us all"...

Happy Birthday Mr. Williams
