IF YOU HAVE ONE LYING AROUND... pm me, please.
(Maybe, I own the last Westerbeke M25, which still needs the alternator retrofit.)
Or... maybe you know of a used one still attached to some dead M25 engine. I'll take it:).

Ignorant, I am. Is the "Westerbeke" labeled version different than the Kubota-based Universal M25?

Same... Universal M-25/M25; Westerbeke M-25/M25; Kubota D850 20hp (some wrote 23hp) (anyone wish to clear this up?) If I could edit my posting title, I would included "universal in it, for it might boost my listing to the top of the diesel parts wanted pile.:)

Ah so. The Universal M25 model was 21 HP. By 1988, Ericson was transitioning to the M25XP model at 23 HP, like the model installed in my hull in the fall of 1988. Both were based on a Kubota short block.
Strictly IMO, but Westerbeke caused some ongoing confusion by marketing a not-quite-parellel line of small diesels alongside the Universal line.

I can edit the post title for you.
Cheers,
Loren
