I can see why you Bay Area Ericson owners like it down here! I haven‘t shaken our first reef out since we got here.

Got this photo and the linked video from a neighbor boat moored at Schoonmaker Point. They caught us as they were taking the ferry to the city. Always nice to get shots of your own boat under sail!

Love it...but man, yesterday (Sunday) was a howler here. We had gusts to 28 mph all afternoon. I'd have been reefed 2x and had the furler in half way. Love the shot! Welcome to the Bay!

Great photo. But it makes me curious. Are you sailing wing and wing or in the middle of a gyb/tack? I only ask because the main and the jib are flying opposite sides, or at least it appears to me from the photo. Cheers!

Haha no but it does kind of look that way doesn’t it. We had a fair amount of jib rolled in but you can still just see the clew going behind the mast. Thanks!

Just realized that, per Christian's video about joyfully sailing his boat in heavy air, you were sailing/enjoying your "other Ericson" or similar nomenclature as I recall from his heavy-air sailing video.
A couple weeks ago I was out for an evening sail with winds in the high teens, with a reef in our main, and -indeed- our boat's handling was more "dinghy like" than it is in lighter air. Deck stayed dry but the water was often right up the edge. Driving to weather was Such a pleasure!
