Headed out Saturday for Anacapa. Weather was perfect. Got there in just over 4 hours. Weighed anchor and had lunch... then did some costal sailing / exploring... had a great time! Heading back only took 3 hours, dodging container ships in the shipping lanes, Bit more wind on the return...

Didn't actually spend a night on the hook as we planned, But we got to test our new ground tackle during lunch. We got a early start Saturday and hoped to sail out and see how close we could get to Anacapa, but the wind had other plans so we practiced some light air sailing on Saturday...

Update to the Cabinet project. Boat Cabinet Project Continued Took quite a while to create the template for the hull curve. I ended up using a cup with a pencil securely attached on the top (a make shift compass) to trace the hull curve onto a piece of cardboard. I found some 1/2"...

Heading out to Ventura this long weekend, for hopefully some sailing with friends. Might have good weather Saturday, but Sunday and Monday look stormy. I have no real info to post just sitting here excited to get going. The Varnish is going on really nice on my cabinet project.

The bed is a little too short so I am adding 8 inches of length. As well a cabinet cavity which will give me the area to eventually install two 12" x 30" x 6" drawers. On the top I will have a 15" X 37" counter top. Also the 8" extension for the bed is removable giving some more storage...

Great pictures! I especially liked seeing how you were storing stuff. Was that grab bag that was bungie corded just forward the mast? in 27? And a backstay tensioner in 21? Also did you have a boom preventer setup on picture 14?

What type of mahogany? The mahogany I have been looking at (African) is much more red colored.

What type of wood is this? I am trying to find something to match it. 1975 E23. Is it White Oak? with clear varnish?

Wow you have done some excellent work on your boat, and great pictures as a guide for the rest of us. Really enjoyed reviewing them all. How is the interlux paint job on the mast holding up? How long ago was that?
