Thanks Frank. 50ft slips come at a premium and while completely doable...covers a few drinks at the pub! We have a aluminum floored dinghy on davits with a 15 horse...so heading into the bay shouldn't be an issue. Will look at the map to see what you are referencing. Would be nice to meet up...
Hi, I had a 1977 Ericson 32 that I believe was purchased in Tacoma 2 years ago. The most distinguishing feature would be a replaced front hatch from the wood style one to a Bomar style. I would like to talk to the owner if anyone knows where the boat is now. Thanks!

Anyone know the logistics for anchoring? I no longer have an Ericson, but would like to attend and anchor out if possible? I heard the area has been overtaken with private mooring balls. We always stayed at Genoa Bay; it has been 25 years since I went in to maple bay. Hoping to meet up.
I know someone selling an Ericson 27 for $4,000. It has a new electric start outboard and transferable slip in Everett. It is in a good functioning state as I understand it, and will try and get some photos added to the post. Sounds like a good price for a fun boat. Private message me and I...
Hello Saverio,
Unless there is an underlying reason...I would NOT recommend pulling the shaft. The cutlass can easily be removed using a propeller puller and a piece of pipe cut in half. I should have taken a video, but here is a video of how to do it. Much easier than cutting it out...
Hi Frank, I feel like I should sit on the sidelines and simply try and figure out how to meet up with you folks. As for the boat, it is hull#1 of 12 Hylas 51's made before they replaced it with the 54. That being said..it is really fun! Getting 10 knots out of it is pretty easy with just the...
Hellow Vikings
First off..I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and this message finds you all safe and healthy, as I am sure you are missing family and friends. Truth be known...me too. In my case, some of those friends are the Vikings that I used to have the privledge of calling myself one...
Hi Long Time Ericson Friends,
It is long overdue, but I have left the “Ericson Brotherhood/Sisterhood and moved on! Given I was part of the site for the better part of 18 years or so, I will stay on the site and contribute when I can add things of value. So with that in mind, I will not be a...
We are all very fortunate recipients of Loren's energy and contributions to the group...his efforts among those of others make this group exceptional. That being said, this post is about another Beach family member who tends to operate a little more in the background, but is a key contributor...
Boat Tally For The Rendez Vous
Hello Vikings!
I have been a little in the background, but following this routinely. We are now a few days out and hopefully a few folks who were "on the fence" will step up. I am not too concerned about the folks dropping out due to a "SPECTACULAR"...
Here you go. I may or may not attend the rendez vous with Sorcerer, but I will be there regardless either way. Currently looking at a Hylas 51 so if things work out, I will no longer be an Ericson owner. That is not the say I won't "crash" the rendez vous's in the future though...
After various emails with some of the PNW group and based on the poll information, I ended up booking July 12-14th at Cap Santa. It was tied with Port Townsend for the primary choice, but offered better logistics for our event. At this point, I reserved room for 20 boats (6 under 30 feet/ 14...
