Hi, I sail Sapphire Star - Olson 34 which is keel stepped. I'm entering a regatta soon and the safety requirements state that keel stepped masts require a retainer at the mast foot.
I definitely dont have one of these on my mast foot, my mast simply sits on the base plate. I guess a retainer...
The dodger on our 1974, 29 foot Ericson is "all but destroyed". It's old and I need to replace it. Can anyone give me some guidance as to where I might find one-possibly used. My budget is tight and I want to keep my cost down.

I'm a bit perplexed with a zipper that extends the length of the foot of my main sail on my E-29. When unzipped, it allows the main to be "fuller" much like a loose fitted sail would be--but only by a few inches.

Need some help...there appears to be a leak around the diaphragm foot pump that pumps in raw seawater. The leak may be coming from the connection of the hose to the pump or perhaps a hole in the diaphragm - given the lack of resistance I find when exercising the foot pump, my guess is...
