I have an E 28 1985. The hot water tank has rusted at the bottom so I want to remove. I diconnected everything and thought it would be an easy job to take her out but no.
Any suggestions how to cut the tank?
Good morning all: I'm presently in the process of purchasing a 1972 35-2.
So far the only real problem the surveyor has come across is a leaky hot water tank which he believes to be aluminum? Has anyone out there dealt with this issue? Or have any idea's where I might find some info??? Thanks...
My '83 E28+ inboard diesel engine (original, but apparently serviced extensively a few years ago) started running very hot toward the end of the summer... getting up to 220 after only 10-20 minutes with little throttle... added antifreeze and it helped tremendously... the motor would run at...
My propane system is working perfectly but the solenoid is quite hot. I found one source that said they "do get hot". Otherwise nothing on the internet that I can find. Help please
Hi Folks...
My 35-2 has no signs of a hot water heater ever being installed. Can anyone tell me where the factory would have put it? Or better yet, where the best place is to put one.
thanks a bunch
jt
I have removed the hot water heater from the system. There"s a square tank that seems to me to be an expansion tank in the water circuit on the motor, I would suspect as part of the hot water system in the circuit. I am thinking of removing it also and would like to see what you guys think...
Hi Everyone,
I've been busy preparing my 28+ for the winter. Does anyone have a preferred way of draining the hot water tank? The tank is rather loose in it's mount (another jfix-it job to do:)), so I can shake it a bit. It doesn't feel like there's water in the tank, but I want to be sure...
Hello there, Just installed a new Balmar 100 amp alternator. Seems to be getting really hot and battery bank # 2 doesn't seem to be holding a charge very well. Will this alternator keep trying to charge batteries that wont hold much charge and get really hot or does it charge the...
Background:
I discovered a trickle of water coming from under the fuel tank when the engine is running. It starts about one minute or so after the engine is started and it will slowly stop a couple of minutes after the engine is shut down. There is no leak from the exhaust system that I can see...
The PO installed a Wolther Instantaneous Hot Water Heater on the wall in
the Head, run on CNG. Is this THING worth resurecting on LPG or just old
technology / fire hazard
Happy Hot Showers....at the Public Restroom :egrin: :egrin:
Has anyone found a propane on demand water heater suitable for installation on a boat? Add a water heater to the long list of systems that's not operating on my E-38.
Since I have a propane stove, (of course not working yet due to leaky valve) I thought it would be better to install one of...
Does anyone know what effect on the hull would be in taking a boat that lived its life in Florida and moving it to a new home in New England? I've heard that warmer waters are more condusive to blister formation but haven't heard of the effects on fiberglass from long term hot, to long term...
I have 8 interior cabin lights in my E30+ which provide a nice light in the evening, but they get quite hot to touch after being on about an hour or so.
They are the "regular" dome lights, brassy look, white light, about 5" diameter or so, found in most chandleries/catalogues. When they get...
Hello All,
There are a few Niagaras and a Nonsuch at my yacht club that have "Paloma" brand demand hot water heaters fired by propane. They were installed by the factory. If you haven't seen one of these units they are pretty nifty. They mount on a vertical surface and heat water directly as...
Hello All,
I never motor very far, maybe a half hour or so at a time so I never really work the Universal 5432 in my E38 very hard or long. Well, I had to motor for about 1.5hrs on Monday to get where I was going and the engine ran pretty hot. Normally I don't run much above 2200rpm as I don't...
The hot water coming from the hot water tank stinks. I end up not using it because I am fearful of bacteria. If you have resolved this problem, I'd love to hear about it.
I have E34 1989 with a Universal 25XP diesel. Problem is there is not sufficient flow/pressure from engine fresh water cooling system to heat exchanger in hot water heater. A diesel mechanic has been checking and found:
1. No blockage in hoses from engine to hot water heater. No blockage in...
