My girlfriend and I, she being an employment victim of COVID, and me being a fortunate work-from-home tech worker, decided to make the best of it and head north for a social distancing trip to... wherever, really. It ended up being the San Juan Islands, where the county tourism board recently...
Thats right. I live in the San Juans and THATS the liveaboard for us. Love the look and layout. Anyone heard of one thats maybe for sale? Otherwise I gotta settle for a E34.
I've no interest in this boat but noticed it listed on Seattle Craig's List today

I took off my engine heat exchanger a couple weeks ago after 6 years (5 years actual sailing) trouble-free operation. I found considerable deposits, although the engine has only been slightly hotter than when the unit was new. I really didn't notice any reduction of sea water throughput, either...

So my boat Wino Country Safari, an E27, is a fantastic little boat moored in Lake Union. I was recently short-handed during some hefty weather, which raised the issue of improving some of the way our lines are run (especially our reefing lines), for short-handed sailing. Especially because I...
Hey all -
Just popping in to say hey, I (and three of my friends) own Wino Country Safari, an Ericson 27 moored in Seattle's Lake Union.
It's a fantastic boat and we love it. Got it for a song and are now starting to figure out the things we want to do to maintain/update it. I've sailed a...

Two late-model Atomic 4 sailboat engines for sale.
Would be good candidates for rebuilds, or use for spare parts.
One was running well but overheating when I removed it from my boat recently.

Does anyone know for sure which date the annual swap meet will be held? I have found two dates listed on the Internet, April 5 and April 12. Would be nice to know which one is correct...
Hello all in the PNW. My wife and I are returning to the west coast in mid-April, trucking our 35-III out with us from Florida. We have a liveaboard slip in Seattle lined up, but need to find a reasonable yard to do a bit of commissioning work. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks, Ted...
I just got back from Shilshole - there's a maroon E35-3 with a 'For Sale' sign on it at the foot of I Dock (broker row)...don't know the year or condition - this is just an FYI...

Hey Vikings:
Yours truly just returned from a biz trip which included a few days in Seattle-with an overnight with friends on Bainbridge Island. I have forgotten just how beautiful the PNW is, and how great the sailing is..there seem to be several old maxi-IOR boats (the old Obsession, a SC...
I have a sublet that is winding down and am looking for a new sublet. If you know of anyone going cruising on your dock, please have them contact me.

Has anyone made plans for the trip north yet? I am just getting started and wondered who is going when from the sound. Might be fun to have a small flotilla heading north and attacking a few unsuspecting ports on the way. Any ideas? Harold, Jessie, S/V Mischief Maker

Fyi - I just purchased a painful amount (in dollars per item) of Harken gear at Fisheries Supply in Seattle this afternoon. When I got there I discovered that until the end of June they are running a sale on Harken gear. 10% off on blocks and like items. 15% off on winches. Fisheries is...
Having decided, after last year's dissappointing displays, that I might pass on both....
I find that the PDX boatshow promoters are now really "papering the house" with 2-for-1 tickets. Anyone know if there are any freebie deals for the Seattle show?
Sometimes a small group of us car-pool up...
I am thinking of driving up to Seattle for an afternoon at the boat show. Leave PDX about 8:30. Back home by 9 or 10 pm.
Having earlier decided that I would never return to such a midget boat show, I note that floor size is increased for this year. "Never say never", as the saying goes...
