Since nobody else has posted about last week's Viking Rendevous in Port Townsend, I'll take the first step:
I had a great time. Nice to see the familiar old faces and to meet some new ones and their great boats. Loren and his lovely wife Kathy pulled it all together working with the Point Hudson Marina to make it happen.
Good times drinking 'firewater' on Harold & Jessie's (yeah, I'll never forget your name again, girl :nerd 'Mischiefmaker.' I doubt there's ever been a more fitting name for a yacht.
Of course, thanks to Sean for making this site happen, too. Almost 10 years, eh Bud? (BTW, I waited for you two at the Lighthouse Cafe Sunday. What? Ya stood me up! Too hung over, I'll betcha) Look forward to seeing the official group photo posted here.
My only regret is I couldn't sail up to the event. The weather was quite cooperative - like it ALWAYS is up here in the Pac Norwest, right?
And Dick, Nick and everybody else I met for the first time: great to meet you all. Hope to see you again.
