FYI: Free Electronic charts and software

FYI: I suppose everyone knows about this, but just in case you didn't you can download free NOAA ENC electronic navigation charts and Windows software from the following sites:

http://www.fugawi.com/web/products/fugawi_view_enc.htm
http://ocsdata.ncd.noaa.gov/ChartServerV2.0/jsp/index.jsp

Please note that the Fugawi View ENC software free edition is limited to 3 charts open at a time. For ca $20, you can buy the unlimited version. The NOAA charts are updated frequently, so bookmark the page.

There are several related threads covering the NOAA free chart downloads plus quite a bit of other digital navigation stuff.
Try a Search using appropriate words, and this is one that will pop out:

While this digital wizardry will not replace paper charts completely, I can vouch for the fun of watching your little boat icon move along the channel!
