Over the years I have replaced all of the turning blocks at the base of our mast with various models of Garhauer blocks. They hold up well, Very well.
I have no personal or financial connection with the vendor, but do recommend them if you are replacing some of those OEM solid-axle blocks from the 80's.

Thanks Loren. I need to replace those shackles and other mainsheet components to reduce friction. The mainsheet winch gear ratio is not optimal and the interference from the dodger doesn't help either. I would love to hear other 32-3 owners who have done this.
