I ripped the old tilt-out apart. It yielded several nice pieces of teak and teak-veneered plywood for other projects.

I moved the hinges to the left side (the push-button latch still holds door closed), and installed a 2-drawer wire pull-out shelf unit in the space - lots of storage for galley stuff.
