Mechanical fuel pump modification

Hi! I came across on the internet an interesting inovation for the
AC Delco mechanical fuel pump. By removing the upper assembly (fuel bowl attachment? and installing a cap upper assembly. Hope this makes sense.
This eliminates the fuel bowl, and leaks. Anyone out there try this?? I saw this at Nucelar Engine .com.
