Models of E-32

Can someone describe the models of E-32?

This website contains information referring to an E32-1, E32-2, and E32-3, and E32-400 (and maybe some other variants as well), but the descriptions don't appear to be entirely consistent and I can't figure out which version our boat is.

Our boat is a 1985 E-32. The mast is keel-stepped, the keel is a relatively high-aspect triangular shape. We have the tee-shaped cockpit well. Are we a 32-2 or 32-3?

E32 Models

David,
The link http://www.geocities.com/Eureka/Concourse/8326/ericson.htm, then click "Ericson32 Background", describes the different models better than I ever can.

It sounds like you have a 32-3, not a bad boat to own at all.

Its a little confusing because Ericson themselves did not consistently use the same nomenclature in all their documentation.

[edit] Just to add additional confusion, one of the splash page images of an E32-2 is mis-captioned as an E32-1. There are no splash page images of a 32-1. [/edit]

32-3

David - sounds like you have 32-3. The site Cory pointed you at has some good info (Sean - can we include that info to our site some how??). It's a great boat and you can find tons of into here. Number of folks here have the same boat and can offer you great info.

Dave,
If you have the quarter berth and nav table in front of it on the port side aft, and the head compartment is forward, it is an E-32 Mk 3.

If you have the interior with the aft head on one side and a small aft cabin on the other, you have a 32-200.

Both sail equally well, AFAIK.
