Hello,
Our Ericson 26-2 1987 is new to us x 2 months. Third time out lost the prop...a Martec Folding prop. We have a 3/4" shaft does anyone out there have a new or used one?
Thank you,
Garth

I can't help with the prop, but I offer my condolences. Many (most?) of us still use the basic fixed two-blade prop which might be easier and cheaper to find for replacement. If you share what engine you have, someone here with your model boat can probably tell you what will work as to diameter and pitch.

Plan B: look deeply into the deepest possible/obscure storage areas of the boat, and see if the factory bronze two blade is stored away just for such an occasion. I keep the original factory two blade prop stored on board "just in case".

I have an Ericson 26 and I have a spare 3-blade fixed prop that I removed from my Yanmar 1GM. It's in fine condition. I replaced it with a Campbell Sailer prop, which has a bit less drag. I believe the specs on it are 12" diameter, right-handed, 10-pitch. It is for a 3/4" shaft. If interested, let me know and I'll sell it to you cheap. (BTW: It could always be repitched for your engine if need be, though you would want to check on the cost for doing that. But it might be OK as is, depending on your engine/transmission combination.)

We also went with a Campbell Sailer prop on our E27. Price was actually very reasonable, all things considered. That said, being based in Vancouver, the foundry is pretty much local to us.

Thank you all for your responses. Our mechanic found us an Australian folding prop on eBay. We just put it on yesterday and so far so good. we do need to have a spare. I will be discussing the Campbell Sailer prop option with our mechanic. We videoed the process of the replacement for future reference and recorded the weight of our boat when it was lifted. All on the advice of our mechanic. Learning as we go.

I shopped for almost a year for a used martec, before I found the right size. I replaced all the Monel pins, and it has been in service on our Ericson 29 for 15 years of more. FYIU it added about a knott of sailing speed
