One less Ericson 38...

Just heard the latest update that Starlight II (Ericson 38-200) was lost south of Cuba. The new owner is a distant relative of mine and he was supposedly picked up in a life raft after a few days at sea. He is safe and sound but it sounds like the vessel is missing or gone at this stage. I believe the old owner was active on these forums for quite a while. Not sure if anybody else has heard anything more about the story so far but if so, please feel free to share it here.

Wow. I wish we could know what went wrong. Sure glad he was rescued. Modern satellite electronic devices are way cool.
