So now to what I probably should have done first is ask 1st and 2nd preference for location. You have 2 votes. Choose one #1 choice and one #2 choice for locations.

I just read a grim article about the financing and personel/staffing problems plaguing Rosario. I imagine that the marina will operate OK, but the surrounding amenities may be limited or closed. I kind of miss the "olden days" when we tied our 26' sailboat to a buoy, and the resort skiff came out and ferried us to shore. We swam in the big pool at the mansion and oggled the opulent interior hallways.

So many marinas and boatyards are struggling financially. It makes it even more important for us boaters to support them when possible-- dock moorage, restaurant meals, haulouts and repairs when needed, appreciation of their efforts, etc.

Vote so far is Anacortes 5 (3+2) Port Ludlow 2 (1+1) seem to be top 2. I have updated availability for Anacortes and Port Ludlow. If you havent voted, now is the time. We need to hear from you! Poll closes thursday evening.

Anacortes and Port Ludlow info:

Anacortes available July 11&12 Weekend only. Reserve for 8 boat minimum. Amenities: can reserve party float $150 for 1 or 2 days. If 2 groups reserve, first to 10 boats confirmed gets the float. Otherwise meet on the docks or ashore somewhere. Town center, restaurants, marine services, groceries nearby.

Port Ludlow available July 11&12 or July 25&26 weekends, they will hold up to 15 slips until 3 weeks prior event. Individual skippers make reservations tagged to Ericson Yacht Rendezvous. Release remaining slips at 3 weeks. Amenities: Gazebo, horseshoes, BBQ pit, Pavillian, Small marina store, Restaurant, golf course.

Well, looks like we have direction. I will submit request to Anacortes for July 11&12 weekend. I will request barge in the application.

The Rendezvous request was accepted by Anacortes Cap Sante for July 11&12, 2025. I requested 12 slips. I will be getting further guidance and then finalize details closer to the event. Does anyone have the numbers of boats attending from past WA side events? Would like to check my wild guess, and correct soon if necessary, to make sure we have enough slips. -Dave

2014 Rendesvous Information

I am finally d/l some images from my little digi camera. After the Rendezvous we cruised up Vancouver Is for a while and then crossed over into the US San Juans. Here's a sight we did not expect! Talk about a "Variety" of sea craft passing us...... :) Loren

I would suggest going to the Search box (upper right) and entering rendezvous and put my name in the "By" box. Reason is that I have often commented on our rendezvous threads; and also because I spend too much time at my computer...
