I'm in the middle of replacing 3 (likely original) gate valve seacocks on my 1975 E27. Yup, she's on jack stands and dry.
One (already removed) was the water in for the head. Easily removed.
The second, slightly aft of the sink, and has a junction of plumbing directly above the seacock. Two cockpit scuppers feed into a T, as well as the sink drain. The tight area to work in and the complicated plumbing are making this one a monster. I've only got about 3 full turns removing the valve for about 30 minutes effort. I'm sure I'll get the rest on Saturday.
The third, appears to be the water engine coolant inlet. This one will be near impossible to reach from under the sink. I'm thinking an easier vantage point will be the port lazerette. However, the plywood bulk head there blocks access. Is this bulkhead structural in nature? If I were to remove it permanently, would I be inviting structural issues?
Thanks all,
Marcus
