Rudder interchangeability???

Thanks! Nice picture. The profile looks to be ahead of its time and the area looks more than adequate.
Back to Basics: sail with the engine raised, as was planned by the NA. Confirm that you have a Clean bottom and fins (keel and rudder blade).

Is this picture your boat? Clean!

Edit: May we assume that the tiller is well attached to the post at the top?

No this is not the bottom of my Crealock 26 mine is dirtier and slimy but without barnacles and has been in the water along time. I will scrape it soon with a spare plastic oar and then green pad and west marine cleaning brush it before winter

As for how the rudder looks. .. it's a case of good from far but far from good. May have looked good on the paper design sketch but doesn't function worth a damn

I have contacted the Foss rudder company and they believe an Olsen 25 rudder can be made to work on my Ericson 26 Crealock. They are going to send me diagrams and information and a price quote to me via email. Thanks to all for great information and help.
