tiller pilot for E-27?

Hello Folks, I am the proud new owner of an E27, (berthed in Dana Point CA)

I am wondering if anyone has an opinion as to an appropriate tiller pilot for her for occaisional single hand use. the raymarine 1000 says it is good for boats displacing 6500 lbs. This boat lists displacement at right about that. The inboard engine has been taken out, with a 9.9 outboard on the transom, so she is a bit lighter than stock, but with gear, stuff, and more stuff, is it adisable to consider the next size tiller pilot for a 10K boat? (she is very well balenced, with very little effort needed at the tiller under normal conditions.

thanks

I had an ST 2000 on my Seidelmann 299.......it worked very well.......

The price differential between the two if I remember was minimal....that is the 1000 and 2000.

FWIW.....I always tend to the stronger unit in situations like this as the wear and tear factor over time is much less.
