Tiny Bugs

We liveaboard our Ericson 38 in the Monterey Bay. Recently I have been noticing tiny little bugs crawling on our teak. They're tiny (pinhead size body, plus legs, but brownish color,), and hard to describe without aid of a microscope, they look like they could be in the beetle family.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? When I squish them their guts are brown. I am sure they are not termites because I have disected a termite. But should I be worried about these other tiny guys? Are they eating my boat? Should I get used to them? Are they coming from my marina?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

In my state, we have county extension agents wherever there is agriculture (which is most of the state), altho more limited in scope due to budget shortfalls than they were, say, 50 years ago.
I tried finding your local agency on Google and found this lead.

I betcha they have someone that can ID your mystery bugs.
