E381 Upgrade to Navigation Electronics to NMEA 2000 Instruments and AIS Class B

I've just completed the final upgrade (famous last words?) to my boats electronics replacing all of the original Nexus Silva NMEA 0183 instruments with new Raymarine NMEA 2000/SeaTalkNG instruments including wind and DST 800 as well as a Vesper XB-8000 Class B AIS transponder. After a a little scare passing through The Race in thick fog last year I decide it would be nice to also transmit my AIS position and not just receive them on the chart-plotter. In addition the Vesper XB-8000 has WiFi capability and NMEA 0183 GPS sentence output for my VHF radio's NMEA 0183 input (used for the DSC GPS position) and removes the need for my Brookhouse iMux NMEA 0183 WiFi multiplexer (which by the way is a great unit and for sale).

I've kept the original JRC-1800 chart-plotter/radar unit as it still works great and I couldn't justify the $$$ to replace it with a new digital radar system. The JRC-1800 provides a back up to my primary chart-plotter OpenCPN on my Tablet. Nevertheless, I installed a NMEA 2000 to NMEA 0183 Antisense interface between the JRC-1800 and NMEA 2000 network to provide a backup GPS source and DST data to and from the NMEA 2000 network.
