Proud new E31 Owners!

Hi all,

We are the proud new owners of "Liberty", a beautifully restored 1981 E31 Independence (that we bought on 4th of July weekend, so how appropriate is that!). Here are some shots from our first sail from Ventura down to her new home in Channel Islands. My brother followed along in his Excalibur 26 and took a bunch of pictures. She sails great and we are loving her!

Very pretty - welcome to the family. Please let us know what kind of projects you're working on, etc. Also, visit the E31 site (see the links directory).

Congrats!

Thanks! I've tried that other E31 site, but it seems to be down, and it has been for a week or so. No big projects yet. Everything on the boat is pretty much brand new except for the fiberglass and spars. I did send my wife up the mast on her first day owning a sailboat to put up a spreader halyard, so that was fun! Actually, we are thinking about installing an electric freshwater pump and a washdown shower by the swimstep, but that's about it.

Nice to see the pictures under sail. I think you'll find her much fun to sail, and the cutter rig is a nice setup. Welcome aboard!
