We're beat but have her back in the slip :egrin: The most exciting part was when the railroad car carrying her around the yard derailed :scared::0305_alar:confused::esad:
The Bomon ports were waiting at the door when we got home. No instructions but they look good in the plastic wrapper...
After some web hassles, Dylan Winter is on the web with his own site.

Getting ready to put my "FREE" 1974 Ericson 35 into the shop for refit. The boat is in really good shape for it's age but I have elected to go through every system. This boat was used primarily for racing but will now be reconfigured for cruising. My question is the back stay mount. All the...
We'll be going Friday through Monday.
Sam mentioned that he might be heading over, or maybe to Avalon instead.
Looks like it will be sunny but cool (by SoCal standards). 40-42 degrees is cold when you don't have a heater :egrin:

That's the plan,
We drive down to Senta II tomorrow night and head out Friday morning.
Hope for post-labor-day quiet, or semblance of quiet :egrin:
Back to Cabrillo on Sunday.

I really like Senta in her original blue cove stripe ! The plugged portholes are now also fixed with the plywood gone, replaced with solid FG. The silly TV and phone hookup on the _outside_ of the hull is also now just a memory.
We got the geonoa back with a new white sacrificial UV cover...
The first picture below shows the FG repair of the two plywood plugs that filled the E39 flushdeck portholes.
The next two pictures show the first Awlgrip coat (of 5) that will be applied and hand sanded to perfection by Chico. The color will be pretty close to what it originally was, but a...

Way to go Zac!:egrin::cheers:
I'm in the process of downsizing and I'd like to pass along (if anyone's interested) some back volumes of Practical Sailor.
I currently have Volume 30 2004 available to the first person interested in reimbursing postage.
Contact me back channel.
I have gone through all of the threads I can find on the Lewmar Opening Ports.......
I followed the advice on one to call Catalina Direct for the Lenses and Gaskets, which I did, and ordered one gasket and one lense to make sure that they will work.
I copied the article from Yachtworld and...
Just got back from delivering a boat from Ft. Lauderdale to St. Thomas. This was my first offshore voyage, so I don’t have any basis for comparison – but the trip sure could have been better.
We were four guys in a 1978 Perry 47 center cockpit cutter. We were waiting for a south wind to...
Hello everyone,
Im going to recover the cushions on my E29 and Im not sure how to remove the back part of the cushion. Im not sure how its fixed to the boat and I didnt want to force it. Any ideas?
It is with mixed emotions that I post that I am back following 16 days that took me as far north as Nanaimo. Happy that I had spectacular weather that only provided 1 (read one) partially raining day since this is the PNW! The tough part is realizing that my cruising season is coming to an end...
While staring at down into my anchor locker on my '85 32-3 after cleaning it out this weekend I began to wonder what might be under there. Then I began to wonder how would I ever rebed the bow pulpit. So I thought I'd ask if anyone here has ever removed the anchor locker on a 32-3 or been able...
I understand that the March 2005 Sail magazine has an article on the Ericson 35-III. Does anyone know where this might be posted online? Does anyone have this issue and be willing to scan it for me?
Thanks
Tim R.
I am planing a four night trip to Catalina Wednesday May 31st to June Sunday June 4th. For those of you with Ericsons, it would be great if we could meet up! I would like to do at least one night on the back side (Cat Harbor, if the conditions are good, Little Harbor). Two Harbors, Howlands...
Hi All,
Has anyone solved the problem of cockpit drains filling the cockpit with water while sailing. The boat is an E35/3 & the outboard drains at the aft end of the cockpit on the leeward side backfill so there is about 4" of water right in the lower corner of the cockpit while healing ...
Heading back to Two Harbors this weekend! I'll be there Friday-Sunday.
Any other EY.com folks going over again? I have good friends (Two Couples) that are celebrating joint wedding anniversary's. They have rented out half the Banning House. Other boats in this rendezvous are a Cal 29...
To my friends in the E-gang:
I am just back from the Newport-Beach to Cabo San Lucas Race-another 800+ offshore miles, good times and experiences. It is always great to get back offshore, and now back to the grind here in Chicago.
Let the games begin anew!!
Regards to all!
Seth
We are contemplating installing (re-installing?) a stay aft of the bow upon which we would fly a staysail or storm jib. It appears that this will not be too much trouble to do, assuming we suitably reinforce the deck and transfer loads to an assembly glassed into the bottom of the hull. I think...
After a hard sail a couple nights ago, I found about a half inch of water wandering around the bilge sections. We had been sailing a couple of hours with the full main and 135, in about 15 kts of breeze. Lots of time at 8 knots on the speed guage, and the stern wave up a foot on the transome...
