The new dodger is on. The new clutches and larger winches are in place.
This is a newer fabric, "RECacril" that is rated better than "Sunbrella" for weave integrity and QC. Since cost is about the same, and the canvas shop has been having great luck with it, we decided to give it a try.

I have a complete dodger for sale. This just got removed from my new Ericson 27. I find it too restrictive during sailing. The outside cover is slightly faded, but the rest is in good shape. The frame is in excellent condition.
Local pickup in Marina del Rey, CA
I would like to have dimensional information so I can get a dodger for my E25. The stick is down and I would like to know the boom height off the cockpit floor (and above the hatch). Does anyone have a dodger they could send pictures of and the dimensions?
Anyone interested? Updated with Blue Sea electronics and have a different bimini.
The dodger needs some work, glass is in o-k condition, small triangular piece missing. Bimini in equal shape, needs minimal stitching if any. If you want more pictures, send me a PM.
Best offer by Thursday gets...
We purchased an Ericson 32 last summer and are planning on installing a dodger. The boat has never had one so we are starting from scratch.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a manufacturer in the Seattle to Bellingham area?
Also, any tricks/ideas in dodger design that have...
The dodger on our 1974, 29 foot Ericson is "all but destroyed". It's old and I need to replace it. Can anyone give me some guidance as to where I might find one-possibly used. My budget is tight and I want to keep my cost down.
I live in Oceanside, CA.
Thanks,

Not a current project, but something I have been sketching on and thinking about for several years.
I just did a coastal delivery on a Jason 35 with a nice frp dodger with glass windows. The visibility forward and the general strength was wonderful.
Since our our '95 vintage small dodger is...
Looking To Buy A used Dodger for a E39. Really don't care about the condition of the Dodger need it for a template to replace the one the PO never sent to me.......

The navy blue canvas dodger on my E 28+ has some greenish stains from
mold or algae ( Pacific NW). I've been able to eliminate the stains from the
steering wheel cover and mainsail cover by removing and washing them.
I would rather try to treat the Dodger canvas without removing it if...
Hi all,
We noticed today a tear about 1 ft long in our dodgers front plexiglass window. The dodger is only about a year old, and was perfectly fine last week, so we're a little stumped about how it came to be, but thats not what I wanted to ask about.
What I wanted to ask, is there a good...
My dodger has Strataglass brand vinyl windows. It was expensive but beautifully clear. I've religiously used the Imar cleaner/protectant recommended by the Strataglass manufacturer but I find that the Imar doesn't remove waterspots completely and after a day or two the windows are a bit cloudy...
Hello
I have a guy currently building me a dodger...he put up the frame this week and asked me to stop by the boat this wkd to have a look and see if the height etc...met my requirements. I am looking for input with respect to the proper height for a dodger on an e27 or any boat for that...
I wanted to give some of the 30+ owners a look at the new dodger I had installed on my 30+. It was a work in progress. I looked at a few dodger pictures of 30+ boats, but did not like the boxy look they were portraying to my eyes. So I worked with a canvas maker to give the dodger an...
I am desperatly looking to buy a dodger for my E29. Anyone looking to sell?
Does anyone make or know someone who makes dodgers for a fair price?
The qoutes here in the Seattle area range from $2600 to $4000. Thats a big price difference from the $1200-$1500 you people back east are paying. I am...
My white Sunbrella dodger only lasted six years before the seams started tearing out. It also has provided a petri dish for mildew. When I discussed re-sewing or replacing the dodger with the owner of a reputable canvas shop, he brought up the idea of using vinyl instead of sunbrella. My...
Hi there,
Im looking at getting a dodger and possibly a bimini for my E29 and was wondering if anyone has any standard designs or places to contact to have one made. My boat is in the lake erie, sandusky area and the companies are not plentiful that do this work. So my thinking is that'll I...
I am scheduled to meet with a canvas man next week to design a new dodger and bimini for my E27. She has Wheel steering with the traveler in front of the helm . So ,for this reason the helm will be left uncovered and that is OK with me . My thoughts(at the present) are to make the dodger and...
I am considering adding a dodger to my 1985 E32-3, I live in Utah & there are no canvas shops here that I trust to do this correctly. I will probably look at a shop on the West Coast & was wondering if anyone has had one made for this particular boat...are you happy with it & would you recommend...
My E28+ has all the hardware for a dodger. When the seller moved the boat down here from the Northwest, he removed the dodger (it was shot anyway) and used the frame with just a bimini, as he felt a wet weather setup was overkill here in the land of eternal sunshine...
I'm curious - has...
Hi all,
I am about to have a dodger made for my 32-2. I would welcome any advice from anyone who has been through this before...how high?..how far into the cockpit....keeping it clear of the winches.... anything.
Cheers

We're looking for a dodger and frame for a late 80s Ericson 34. Does anyone have a used one they'd like to sell, or a recommendation on where to get one? We're located in the Northeast. Thanks for any help.

Hi all,
This may seem a bit silly, but wondering what folks have found over the long haul. I was fortunate to aquire Emerald with all new covers, including a new dodger. What I am trying to figure out is if for maximum life, should I leave the dodger up or fold it down. The benefits I see...
hi all- looking for a table extension leaf for my e-28 -any condition. also need bimini, dodger, spinnker and main. let me know what you have and what you are asking.wiland@hotmail.com
What is the best way to install dodgers and biminis given the fact that the main sheet traveler & track on my E-28 is in front of the companion way entrance? It would appear that the rigging would have to be moved to accomodate these accessories. What is the best approach to this?
I got a quote for a dodger for my E32 that was quite pricey! Several shops offer a more attractive price if they have patterns for a particular boat.
Does anyone (maybe west coast??) know of a canvas shop that has patterns for the E 32?
A similar question: Has anyone purchased an...
Looking for anyone who has installed a dodger on a 30+. Ours has the main traveller mounted on a bridge deck traveller right in front of the companion way and looks like it will have a clearence problem with the aft edge of a dodger. Moving the traveller to a raised track on the coach roof...
Common question, (I think), but I don't know the answer. If I had a cockpit dodger, would I have to climb around it each time to control the mainsheet and traveler? Is there an answer for this or should I just dodge the dodger?
Hi all -
We are considering installing a doger on our E35-3. I was wondering about the measurements, specifically how high should the doger be above the cabin sole and how far back would it extend. I have sailed on a large number of boats with dogers and found that they are indespensible...
My wife and I take possession of a 1987 E-35, MK III this Friday. Expect wind/waves/cold temperatures in the Northern California locale where we will sail. Thus, thinking about getting a dodger. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get. No local firms do this type of work, so a...
We are adding a dodger and bimini to our 89 E38-200. The boat has never had one before and we are struggling with how to attach the hardware. We would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this and would especially like to see close-up pictures of any E38 or E35 with a dodger so that we...
